Food supply and security dashboard on Agri-food Data Portal by DG AGRI is now public
The dashboards on food supply and food security are one of the actions foreseen in the Communication Contingency plan for ensuring food supply and food security in times of crisis. They gather quantitative monitoring indicators, a qualitative assessment of food supply and food security in the EU, and a collection of external sources under Alerts.

Horizon Europe project to enhance animal health and welfare in EU fish farming
A new project funded by the EU Horizon Europe programme aims to optimise animal health and welfare within the European fish farming sector. Cure4Aqua has been awarded €4.8 million by the EU Horizon Europe programme and will run for 4.5 years, finishing in April 2027.
Following the adoption of the Partnership Agreement 2021-2027 with Spain, the Commission has adopted the EMFAF programme for Spain. More than 40% % of the programme allocation will be dedicated to sustainable fisheries.
Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management Needed to Help Marine Life Thrive in Northeast Atlantic Ocean
The European Commission has adopted revised State aid rules for the agricultural, forestry and fishery and aquaculture sectors. The revised rules align State aid with the EU strategic priorities, in particular the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), as well as to the European Green Deal.
Belgium will receive almost €3 billion in Cohesion Policy funding in 2021-2027 to accelerate its green and digital transition and support the development of a competitive, innovative and inclusive economy. €40.3 million under the EMFAF will support the fishery sector via investments leading to increased sustainable fisheries.
